EXPO 2025
REIWA KONJAKU SHIKI MONOGATARI EMAKI
Japan’s seasons and stories, unfolding across the entire space.
An immersive stage where ritual, performance, and moving images come together.
Presented on June 3–4, 2025 at EXPO Hall “Shining Hat” during Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, the production brought together some 200 performers—from Living National Treasures and heads of traditional schools to emerging artists. Noh, Kyogen, shrine maiden dances, Kagura, and Gagaku traced Japan’s changing seasons and Shinto rituals.
Futatsudomoe contributed stage direction, visual concept development, and video production. AI-generated imagery extended across the screen, surrounding walls, stage, and floor, bringing traditional performing arts and moving images together in a shared immersive space.
